Storyboarding

My experience in creating a storyboard for my film was a great one. At first it was hard to know what to put in the boxes and what to fill out first. We drew what we thought the film would look like in our heads. Although it was a bit challenging to know what information to put in the story boards, it was worth it as my partner and I felt highly organized. By making a storyboard It allowed us to know the dialogue of the characters and it gave us a better idea of the costumes, the setting, what type of camera angles and positions we would be using. It also allowed us to see if we h ad enough time for all the scenes and if it went over 2 minutes, we would have to cut it out and make it shorter or keep it off. According to the article “Filmmaking across the curriculum: a beginner's guide,” it talks about how to get started on making films and productions. The guide is made up of three parts that help organize how you will be making the movie. This helps to better understand what the film will be about and what you are going to be focused on and how it will catch the audiences’ attention. The article also mentions how it can help with planning and time. This was true as I did feel more organized and had a better idea on what the film will be about. In another article called “Storyboard your way to success,” Story boards are used in many films to be more creative and produce innovative ideas. They are also able to find a solution to complex ideas. Storyboards were used by walt Disney and say that it is extremely helpful when they are creating movies and films. It allows for people to be more organized and dig deeper with their ideas, participation is increased as well. When my partner and I used the storyboard, we felt like it was a lot more helpful and we produced more ideas for the film.
