Creativity & Genre

Creativity Is a fundamental ingredient in the search for improved process, problem solving, and being able to complete different tasks in a unique way. Being creative allows us to see ideas in a whole different way and perspective. It also makes us feel more engaged in what we are doing and makes us want to learn more. According to the Ted Talk “Theory of Creativity”, talks about how It is important to be brave when it comes to being creative. He also mentions it's important to ask others for their perspectives which will help you see things in different ways. In another source that I read about creativity it mentions the importance of being a risk taker when it comes to being creative. “An Interview with Ron Beghetto: Subtle Nuances of Creativity” talks about a professor and the outcomes of students being creative. He explains how creativity is risky due to the unknown of how the idea will turn out. For example, if you are having trouble completing a task and you find your own cr...

To Team or Not to Team

After all the activities that we did in class and plenty of thinking, I can now conclude that working with another partner is the best choice for me. Some of the activities we did in class was "Lost at Sea". In this activity we were able to choose the person or people we wanted to work on our project with. The activity was about being lost at sea and having fifteen different items to choose from. From here we were supposed to rank all the items as 1 being the most important to 15 being the least important independently. We compared our choices and decided to rank the items again and discuss which ones were the most important and least important as a group. After discussing we were able to see if either working independently or together was the best suit for us. This activity showed me that working with a partner is what i liked most because I was able to listen to their perspectives and why they thought the way they did. We were also able to agree and understand each other o...

Decision Day

There many ways to show your story or perspectives on technology. You could make a movie on something you want to express or how you feel. Or you could make a magazine and use skills like colorful texts and visuals to catch the reader on what you want to portray. In class we watched tutorials for two separate programs called InDesign and Premier Pro. Both programs are beneficial and provide many impressive techniques. Using a film and editing different videos is a great way to show your stories. There are many techniques into using films such as adding text to the short film, editing the background, blurring out the video or sharpening it, zooming into or out of objects to get different angles of what is being shown. This can help the audience engage and become interested more. Using these skills and more can help with what you're trying to prove and what you are trying to imply in the film while watching. It could affect people and the way they feel depending on how you use the f...
